    Teach Veterans

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, taught by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. All programs are funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by PGA Section Foundations, so the cost of programming is free to all Veterans.

If your facility is interested in hosting a PGA HOPE program, or you are interested in becoming an instructor for our HOPE programs please email Alivia Mattiace at amattiace@pgahq.com for more information. Or fill out this link to register for a training session.

    Coach PGA Jr. League

PGA Jr. League is the flagship youth pillar program of the PGA of America’s 501 (c)(3) foundation, PGA REACH. We envision a world in which PGA Jr. League is accessible to every child, everywhere, regardless of background or circumstance. We believe that golf is for the collective, and everyone deserves to feel a deep sense of belonging to healthy and caring communities. Teams are part of leagues, organized together so that games can be played and local league standings can be kept. Some leagues may be held entirely at one facility under a PGA Coach. These in-house leagues include multiple teams that practice and play at the same facility each week, though some in-house leagues may travel to other facilities for friendly matches or Play Days. Other leagues may be formed across multiple facilities, where teams take turns visiting each other’s golf courses and playing against one another.

Interested in starting a PGA Jr. League team at your facility? Please contact Lauren Court at lcourt@pgahq.com for more information.

Host a Drive, Chip and Putt

A joint initiative founded in 2013 by the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and The PGA of America, Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf. By tapping the creative and competitive spirit of girls and boys ages 7-15, Drive, Chip and Putt provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel. Local qualifying is typically available in all 50 states. For more information, please visit the Rules and Regulations.

If your facility is interested in becoming a host site for one of North Florida’s 12 Local Drive, Chip and Putts please email Alivia Mattiace at amattiace@pgahq.com for more information.

    Be a YOC Course

North Florida PGA has partnered with Youth On Course to help subsidize rounds of golf to youth in our area. Golfers ranging in age from 6-17 can become a Youth On Course members and have access to play nearly 2,000 golf courses for $5 or less, giving them opportunities to learn lessons that can be taught in a way only a golf course can.
