On August 26, six PGA Junior League Teams traveled to Orange Lake – The Reserve Golf Course to secure their spot to play in the Regional Championship in Fairhope, Alabama. Everything came down to this competition. All the teams that played placed first or second in the NFPGA PGA Jr. League Qualifiers at St. Johns Golf Club or The Eagles Golf Club.
13U Division
Marriott All – Stars
Meadows All – Stars
Carrollwood All – Stars
Speed Coast All-Stars
We started off the day with the match between The Marriott All-Stars and Carrollwood All-Stars. Marriott advanced to the final round.
The Meadows All-Stars played against the Speed Coast All-Stars. It all came down to the single-hole playoff and the Meadows All-Stars won with a birdie.
The afternoon match was the two winners of the morning round: the Meadows All-Stars team vs. the Marriott All-Stars. The Marriott All-Stars won in the afternoon and secured their title of Champion.
17U Division
Marriott All – Stars
Bradenton Country Club All-Stars
These two teams played great golf, but at the end of the competition, the Marriott All-Stars fought and were named Champions for the 17U division.
The 13U Marriot All-Stars and the 17U Marriot All-Stars will be advancing to the Regional Competition in Fairhope, Alabama. The North Florida PGA also has three additional teams who have qualified on the regional leaderboard through practicing in play days: Cheval All-Stars, Meadows All-Stars, and Carrollwood All-Stars.
