NFPGA News

The North Florida PGA is excited to announce
five great additions to the NFPGA Section Team.
Please join us in welcoming our newest team members!

Kaitlin McDonald
Competitions Assistant

Kaitlin grew up in Tennessee shooting rifle, playing soccer, basketball, and softball. However, she did not begin playing golf until her sophomore year of high school. After attending the University of Tennessee at Martin for 3 years, she made a decision to follow her passion for golf and move to Florida in August 2014. Kaitlin attended PGCC and CORE Golf where she developed a dual passion for junior golf and tournament operations.

She has traveled the United States interning with the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and the Georgia PGA, and has been actively involved with the Little Linksters Organization. In her free time, she enjoys spearfishing, hunting, fishing, playing golf, and Tennessee football. She is looking forward to working with the North Florida PGA and working towards becoming a PGA Professional.

Alexis Holliday
Foundation Manager

As the Foundation Manager for the PGA of North Florida, Alexis Holliday will grow the organization’s brand through philanthropy and good works. Alexis has worked for the United Way of Miami, where she handled all aspects of fundraising in the retail sector.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages and Cultures from Mount Holyoke College. Originally from Miami, Alexis spends her free time outdoors biking, boating, and gardening. She hopes to return to school to pursue a master’s degree in nonprofit business management.

Lindsey Bond
Reception/Admin Assistant

First things first; no, her father is not James.
Lindsey grew up in  Hope Valley, Rhode  Island.  She’s spent just about all of her life around the golf industry, due to having golf professionals as parents.

After graduating from high school, she made the big move down South to The University of Alabama.  This is where she stayed for the next four and a half years until she graduated this past December with a degree in Advertising and minor in Political Science.  The University of Alabama has given her a lot of things to be grateful for: friends that have turned into family, experiences that have turned into lessons, and a football team that has turned in a lot of National Championships.
She is excited to join the NFPGA team.

Jeff Larson
Partnership Manager

Hailing from Wisconsin,  Jeff comes to us from USA Today Sports Media, where he was a National Account Manager for the Custom Media division of Golfweek.   He was an integral contributor, publishing tournament programs for the PGA, PGA Tour and USGA, including PGA Championships, U.S. Opens and Ryder Cup events.  Jeff specializes in business start-ups, developing operations and growing revenue.

Jeff began his career establishing a multi-site fitness and rehab program for a fortune 50 pharmaceutical company in Chicago.  Jeff is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he received an undergraduate degree in Physical Education.  He accomplished an M.A. in Exercise Physiology in 1987, from the University of Central Florida. Jeff lives in Orlando, with his wife Stacy and Son Zachary.

Jenna Winzenburg
Communications Director

Jenna, who has been told her golf swing resembles that of Charles Barkley, comes to the NFPGA after a decade long career in radio and national television. After growing up in the Midwest, she moved to Lakeland, Florida to attend Florida Southern College.

Jenna has been on air and behind the scenes in Orlando, Tampa, Minneapolis, and New Orleans. Her love of the golf industry started during her time in sports radio, and was magnified by working with the incredible team at Golf Channel. She has spent her career with Netflix, NBC, CBS Radio and iHeartMedia. Jenna greatly looks forward to joining the NFPGA team, and working with the talented members of the North Florida section.

North Florida PGA Presents $100,000 to Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation

The North Florida PGA proudly presented Amy Saunders, daughter of Arnold Palmer and Kevin Bingham, CEO of Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation the check for $100,000 raised through our North Florida vs South Florida Challenge Cup Matches this past Fall! The presentation followed our annual Past Presidents Luncheon at Bay Hill on Friday, Jan. 13. Past presidents from our Section gather to offer their insight and advice about Section and National affairs. Past Presidents in attendance were Gene Smith, Russ Libby, John Reger, Mike Warobick, Russ Libby and Tony Johnson. NFPGA Board and staff were also in attendance to hear the advice and stories from our legendary past leaders.

Amy Saunders and Kevin Bingham joined us for lunch along with NFPGA Foundation Board Members Charlotta Sorenstam and Adam Giery. Cup Team members Nick Frontero and Ryan Hritz were also on hand to help with the presentation of the check. It was such inspiring and interesting, as all of them had their own Arnold Palmer stories to share with Amy and the rest of the group. We are proud to be a part of the legacy of Mr. Palmer and help with the causes set forth by the Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation for the futures of so many people in need. Thank you Mr. Palmer for your contribution to the game and the world!
