Instruction Division
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Southwest Chapter,
Steve Whidden, PGA Master Professional in Instruction and the Director of Instruction at Rosedale, has agreed to Chair the Mentoring Committee. He has developed a new part to this committee called The Instruction Division.
The purpose of this division is twofold. First, it would act as a mentoring program in instruction for the Assistants and Apprentices of our Chapter. Secondly, the Mentoring Committee will have programs for the more seasoned PGA Professionals in the form of education, seminars and "cracker-barrel" sessions where we can exchange ideas.
The Committee is formed and the schedule of events as well as lists of programs will be out by mid July.
As PGA Professionals we have an obligation to help our Assistants and Apprentices get the best "education" they can to prepare them for a career in the golf business. This Division is just that kind of program.
We are very excited to introduce this much needed program to our Chapter.
